    SHIPPING

    HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?

    We use the UK Royal Mail to ship all of our orders. The cost is dependent on the weight of your order, but as a guide, below are the standard shipping prices for up to four collars:

    UK: £1.99
    Europe: £3.25 (approximately 3.80EUR)
    USA / Canada: £3.75 (approximately 4.70USD)
    Oceania: £4.00 (approximately 6.60AUD)
    Everywhere else: £9.00

    We also offer a tracked & signed service worldwide, for a slightly higher rate. You can choose your preferred shipping option at checkout.  

    Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply.

     

    DO YOU SHIP WORLDWIDE?

    Yes! We use the UK's Royal Mail to offer an affordable delivery service to every country in the world. 

    Please note that any customs or import duties are charged once the parcel reaches the destination country. These charges must be paid by the recipient of the parcel.

    Unfortunately we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you may want to contact your local customs office for further information and estimated costs.

     

    HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?

    Our estimated delivery times are as follows:

    UK: 5-7 days

    Rest of World: 8-10 days

    Orders with custom engraved tags may take an additional 10 days to reach you, because of the time it takes to precision engrave each item.

    If you're in a hurry, just contact us and we'll be very happy to arrange a speedy delivery method for you.

    COLLAR QUESTIONS

    HOW DO I CHOOSE A COLLAR THAT FITS?

    It's easy as pie! We offer two sizes of collar - kitten and adult. Both are adjustable in length, so the most important factor is your cat's current weight (which is important for the breakaway buckle). 

    If your cat is... 

    1. OVER 2.5kg / 5.5lbs then the ADULT collars are right for you

    2. UNDER 2.5kg / 5.5lbs then the KITTEN collars are the perfect choice!

    (As a handy guide: 2.5kg / 5.5lbs = the weight of a family size bottle of soda)

    Please note: Our kitten collars aren't suitable for kittens under 1kg / 2.2lbs in weight. But don't worry, at that age they grow so quickly that they'll soon be big enough to wear a kitten collar!

    HOW DO I ADJUST THE COLLAR LENGTH?

    Adjusting the collar length is easy. Just gently feed the fabric or leather of the collar through the brass buckle, to extend or shorten the collar.

    When fitting the collar, please make sure that you can slide two fingers (next to each other) ONLY between the collar and your cat. Don't leave your cat's collar any looser than this, as it will create a risk of it getting snagged on things in the environment, or getting stuck in your cat's mouth. 

    Our leather collars may stretch a little as they age naturally, so we recommend checking the fit from time to time. 

     

    HOW SHOULD I LOOK AFTER MY COLLAR?

    Flea treatments: We recommend that you remove the collar when you are giving your cat their flea treatment, and do not replace it for 24 hours afterwards, as the chemicals used can cause damage to the collar.

    Leather collars: Your leather collar is designed to soften and age naturally with time. However, if it is looking dry or faded, we recommend that you 'feed' the leather with a little 'dubbin' (this is an inexpensive traditional wax, available from most shoe repairers on the high street, or online e.g. here).

    To use the dubbin, clean any dirt from the collar with a lightly dampened cloth, then take a dry cloth, wipe it in the dubbin, then massage it gently into the leather of the collar, avoiding the non-leather parts.

    The dubbin also helps to maintain the waterproof layer on the collar, so if your cat spends a lot of time outside, it is worth treating the collar with dubbin regularly.

     

    WHAT HAPPENS IF THE COLLAR GETS LOST? OR MY CAT COMES HOME WITHOUT ITS COLLAR?

    Thankfully this is quite rare! We want our Supakit collars to stay with your cat throughout all of its adventures, so we have designed in a number of features to reduce the risk of collar loss, without compromising safety. 

    1. Ultra slimline profile: Our collars are some of the slimmest collars available on the market. They mould to your cat's shape and sit flush to their body, greatly reducing the risk of them getting snagged on something, and triggering the safety breakaway buckle. 

    2. Most cats notorious for 'losing' their collars are actually deliberately escaping because they find them uncomfy! Our collars are designed to be so soft and lightweight that your cat won't even know it's there, so they won't have to cook up elaborate schemes to jettison them at the first opportunity. 

    With all of this said, collar losses do occasionally occur, and we regret that we cannot offer replacements for lost collars. However, if you send us an email to hello@supakit.co, we will be happy to arrange a discount for you when you reorder. 

     

    CAN I USE THESE COLLARS WITH A LEAD?

    No, these collars aren't compatible with a lead. The safety buckle on them is designed to break under force (i.e. when your cat has got snagged on something), so they would come undone as your cat pulled away from the lead. 

     

    DO YOU MAKE COLLARS FOR DOGS TOO?

    We're strictly cat - at least for now! 

     

    ARE THESE COLLARS SUITABLE FOR KITTENS?

    Our adult collars aren't, but we offer an exclusive kitten range - specially designed for kittens over 1kg in weight, with a safety breakaway buckle that will keep them safe. 

     

    ARE THESE COLLARS SUITABLE FOR LONG-HAIRED CATS?

    Yes they are. Our collars are designed to be lightweight and extra soft, making them suitable for both long and short-haired cats. 

     

    SHOULD I ORDER MY COLLAR WITH A BELL?

    All of our collars come with an optional jingly bell. 

    If you're in doubt about whether to opt for a bell or not, it's best to choose 'with bell', because you can easily remove it after. It just unthreads from the loop on the collar!

    As a general rule, we recommend that if you are introducing your cat to a collar for the very first time, you should remove the bell until they get used to the collar.

    RETURNS POLICY

    WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON RETURNS AND REFUNDS?

    We offer two types of returns.

    1. THE SUPAKIT CAT SATISFACTION GUARANTEE

    We're so confident that your cat will love its collar, that we offer a '100% satisfaction or money back guarantee'. 

    If your cat doesn't enjoy wearing its Supakit collar, just post the collar back to us (you pay for the postage) and we'll refund you the cost of the collar, with no quibbles. 

    To use the money back guarantee, email us at hello@supakit.co with 'Guarantee' and your personal Order Number in the subject line, and your reason for return in the email body, and we'll respond to you right away with further information about the returns process. 

    Please note that all items must be returned in as new condition, and in the original packaging that you received them in.

    Any personalised items are exempt from this returns policy, and can only be returned or exchanged if they are faulty when you receive them. 

    2. ALL OTHER RETURNS & EXCHANGES

    If you need to return or exchange your purchase - but outside of the terms of the guarantee (e.g. you've ordered the wrong colour), there's good news! Supakit accepts returns and exchanges of unwanted and unused items within 14 days of receipt.

    Simply return your products within 14 days of receipt of the products, unused and in their original packaging. Please return items using a recorded mail service as it is out of our control if the products don't make it back to us safely.

    Please email hello@supakit.co with 'Returns' and your personal Order Number in the subject line, and your reason for return in the email body. We will respond with further information on the returns process. Please allow 10 - 14 working days for us to process your refund, though please be advised that it may take between 3 - 5 working days for any refunds to appear on your banking statement.

    All refunds are made through our secure on-line payment system. We don’t store any card or payment details so the refunded payment will go back onto the same card you used to make the original payment or via PayPal.

     

    WHAT IF MY CAT DOESN'T LIKE ITS NEW COLLAR?

    Oh no! This shouldn't happen!

    But don't worry, we have a plan. It's called the Supakit Cat Satisfaction Guarantee. If for any reason your cat doesn't enjoy wearing its Supakit collar, just post the collar back to us (you pay for the postage) and we'll refund you the cost of the collar, with no quibbles.
